The First Bird Pokémon Is Landing in Pokémon GO During the Catch Mastery Event!

If you're a Pokémon GO player, get ready for an exciting lineup of events. Alongside the ongoing Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery event, the Catch Mastery event is set to add even more fun to the mix.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event kicks off from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event centers around Archen, the First Bird Pokémon, giving you a fantastic opportunity to encounter this unique creature. During the event, expect to see wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, with the added thrill of potentially encountering their Shiny variants.

Archen won't just be appearing in the wild; it will also be available as a Field Research reward, with an increased chance of finding its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event offers double XP for Nice Throws or better, and an additional XP boost for Curveball Throws.

Don't miss out on the Timed Research associated with this event, which focuses on catching Rock-type Pokémon. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, rewarding you with a total of 40 Archen encounters. This is a golden opportunity to boost your Pokémon collection and level up quickly.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is Also Happening Soon

Following the Catch Mastery event, the Mega Absol Raid Day is scheduled for March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces a new Charged Attack for Absol called Brutal Swing. Once the event begins, Absol will permanently have access to this powerful move, which delivers 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

To make the most of the Mega Absol Raid Day, take note of the increased Remote Raid Pass limit, which will be temporarily raised to 20 from March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT. Additionally, you can obtain up to five extra free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, allowing you to collect a total of six for the day.
