Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

by Alexis May 12,2025

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, it appears that Bethesda is poised to officially unveil the much-anticipated remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion tomorrow.

In an exciting post on Twitter/X today, Bethesda's official account has set the stage for a major announcement scheduled for tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET, which will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch. Although the announcement's specifics remain under wraps, the prominent "IV" showcased in the promotional image, coupled with a background strikingly similar to iconic Oblivion artwork, strongly hints at what's to come.

The whispers of an Oblivion remake have been circulating for what feels like an eternity. The speculation escalated to leaks in recent weeks. The initial hint came from a 2020 Bethesda release schedule, leaked during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which indicated an Oblivion remaster slated for fiscal year 2022. Though the document's age and missed release window could have suggested a canceled endeavor, the buzz reignited in January of this year with a fresh leak. This time, it depicted the project as a comprehensive remake, a collaborative effort between Bethesda and the support studio Virtuos. The rumors reached a fever pitch just last week when additional leaks from Virtuos' website surfaced, featuring images that seemingly showcased the remake in progress.

Should the latest leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is set to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. Fans can also look forward to a Deluxe Edition, which will include the iconic horse armor alongside the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what promises to be a historic reveal, where we hope to see all these exciting details confirmed and perhaps even more unveiled.
