Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remake Tomorrow

by Riley May 05,2025

After months of swirling rumors and leaks, Bethesda is poised to officially unveil its highly anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is set for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST, and will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch.

Bethesda teased the reveal with a tweet showcasing a prominent "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, leaving little doubt about what fans can expect.

The buzz around an Oblivion remake has been building for years. Initial whispers turned into solid leaks, starting with a 2020 Bethesda release schedule that surfaced during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023. Although the document suggested a remaster was planned for fiscal year 2022, the timeline had passed, casting doubt on the project's future. However, a significant leak in January of this year shifted the narrative, describing a full-scale remake developed by Bethesda in collaboration with Virtuos. The speculation reached a fever pitch last week when further leaks from Virtuos' website included in-game visuals of the remake.

Should these leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. A Deluxe Edition, featuring the infamous horse armor, will also be offered alongside the standard version.

Gamers and fans of the Elder Scrolls series should mark their calendars and tune in tomorrow for what promises to be an exciting confirmation and further details on this much-anticipated remake.
