Beloved Sims Character Joins The Sims 4

by Daniel Apr 03,2025

Attention, all you dedicated Sims fans out there! The notorious Burglar is making a grand return, ready to stir up some trouble in The Sims 4. This exciting update, now available on both PC and console, brings back the infamous Robin Banks, so you might want to start securing your valuables before she sneaks in under the cover of night. Typically, she targets homes when everyone's fast asleep, but don't let your guard down—she's been known to pull off a bold heist even when your Sims are wide awake.

To keep your Sims safe from this crafty thief, consider installing a burglar alarm. Should Robin Banks trigger it, the police will arrive promptly to apprehend her and retrieve your stolen items. Even without an alarm, you can still call the police, but you'll need to be quick on the draw. Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, you can opt for some vigilante justice. The choice is yours!

While burglar encounters are relatively rare by default, if you're all about that chaotic life, you can increase your chances by activating the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc. This will surely keep you on your toes!

The team behind The Sims expressed their excitement, saying, "We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe. Sending a special shout out to our full team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses — she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Even though The Sims 4 is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and the series itself is marking 25 years, it's still going strong. Last year alone, it attracted over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4—which was initially a premium game—took four years to reach 20 million unique players. However, when it switched to a free-to-play model in 2022, it saw an incredible surge, gaining 31 million new players right away and reaching a total of 85 million players as of May 2024. And while fans eagerly await the next installment, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5... Plum!
