Atomfall: New Gameplay Trailer Unveils Post-Apocalyptic England

Rebellion Developments' upcoming first-person survival game, Atomfall, plunges players into a chilling alternate 1960s England, devastated by nuclear catastrophe. A new, extensive gameplay trailer offers a detailed look at the game's core mechanics.

Fans of titles like Fallout and STALKER will find familiar elements in Atomfall's world. The trailer showcases exploration of hazardous quarantine zones, desolate villages, and mysterious research bunkers. Survival hinges on resource scavenging, crafting essential tools, and facing off against robotic adversaries and dangerous cultists.

The recently released seven-minute trailer highlights the gameplay loop. Players will engage in a blend of melee and ranged combat, utilizing a range of weapons, from a simple cricket bat to more advanced firearms like revolvers, shotguns, and bolt-action rifles. These weapons are upgradeable, promising customization options and potentially a wider arsenal to discover. Crafting plays a significant role, enabling players to create healing items and explosive devices such as Molotov cocktails and sticky bombs. A metal detector aids in locating hidden supplies and crafting materials.

Progression is driven by skill upgrades across four categories: melee combat, ranged combat, survival skills, and physical conditioning. The game's initial weapon selection appears relatively basic, but the promise of upgrades and additional weaponry hints at a deeper, more rewarding combat system.

Atomfall launches March 27th on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Rebellion plans to release another in-depth video soon, so stay tuned to their social media channels for further updates.
