In *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, the Tea Ceremony is an early main quest that requires you to navigate through various dialogues and actions. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to complete the Tea Ceremony and the correct answers to choose.
During the quest, you'll engage in conversations with different NPCs. Your first conversation is with Imai Sokyu, where you must choose between “The tea ceremony is a spiritual experience” or “It’s a place to make contacts.” Both options are valid, so select the one that resonates with you.
Next, you’ll interact with three guests at the ceremony. Here are the correct responses for each:
Guest/Prompt | Response |
---|---|
Otama | “I had a good teacher” or “I know the son well” |
Wakasa | “I’m new to Sakai” “I didn’t say where I was from” |
Satoko | N/A |
Completing the ceremony | “Turn bowl right twice” |
Confront Otama or Wakasa | Wakasa |
Most dialogue options during the Tea Ceremony won't have significant consequences, except for choosing to confront Otama or Wakasa. Even if you mishandle the ceremony, you may receive disapproving glances from the guests or Sokyu, but the quest’s outcome remains unchanged.
If you decide to confront Otama, you'll pursue her at the quest's end, only to discover she's corrupt but not the Golden Teppo you seek. This will trigger the quest "Defensive Position," where Naoe searches for Wakasa anyway.
Conversely, choosing to confront Wakasa leads her to invite Naoe to her home, initiating the quest "Drive the Point Home," and the story progresses as usual.
That’s all you need to know about the Tea Ceremony in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*. For more tips and insights on the game, including how to romance Katushime and a breakdown of difficulty settings, visit The Escapist.
