Dell is currently offering one of the best deals on an RTX 5080 equipped prebuilt desktop, the Alienware Aurora R16, starting at just $2,349.99 with shipping included. This is an excellent price for a high-performance gaming PC that's built to handle 4K gaming at high frame rates. In today's market, opting for a prebuilt system is the most cost-effective way to get your hands on an RTX 5080 GPU, as standalone cards can be prohibitively expensive.

This configuration features an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU can reach a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently with a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler and powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

Dell is now offering an upgraded version with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285 processor, which has a max turbo frequency of 5.6GHz and 24 cores. While it offers similar gaming performance to the Ultra 7, it's better suited for rendering and productivity tasks that benefit from additional cores.
The RTX 5080 is the second-best Blackwell graphics card, just behind the RTX 5090, which costs around $2,000. It's approximately 5%-10% faster than the now-discontinued RTX 4080 Super. In games that support the new DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, exclusive to Blackwell cards, the RTX 5080 shows even greater performance improvements.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE Review, by Jacqueline Thomas
"If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 doesn’t make a lot of sense – it just doesn’t have much of a performance lead over the RTX 4080, though the extra frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do make things look better in games that support it. However, for gamers with an older graphics card who want a significant performance boost, the RTX 5080 absolutely provides – doubly so if you’re comfortable with Nvidia’s AI goodies."
