After two months of nominations and voting, the winners of this year's Pocket Gamer Awards have been announced. While there were several expected names among the winners, a few unexpected victors emerged, taking home the public-voted awards. This year has been one of the strongest on record for mobile games, and the public's votes reflect that strength.
Following a month-long nomination period, another month of voting, and a grand awards show, the Pocket Gamer Awards 2024 winners have finally been revealed. It has been an astonishing journey, and the list of winners showcases the remarkable progress the industry has made since the inception of our awards in 2010, when reader's choice led just one category.
I've had the privilege of witnessing the entire process unfold since we opened nominations at the start of October. It's been a massive triumph, not only because of the high volume of votes we received but also because this is the first year that mobile gamers can proudly say we've created a winners list that truly represents the broader industry.
The winners span from some of the world's largest companies, such as NetEase with Sony's IP Destiny, Tencent-backed SuperCell, and Scopely, to established publishers like Konami and Bandai Namco. Indie darlings like Rusty Lake and Emoak also made the list. This year has been exceptional for ports as well. Just as PC gaming often sees adaptations of mobile classics, 2024 has seen numerous high-quality experiences make the transition to mobile, which is reflected in the three outstanding ports that won awards.
Without further ado, here are the winners:
