Fans of the time-twisting RPG Reverse: 1999 have a lot to look forward to with an upcoming livestream scheduled for April 18th. This event promises to unveil exciting details about the 1.5th anniversary celebrations as well as a sneak peek at the much-anticipated version 2.5 update, titled 'Showdown in Chinatown'.
The livestream will be hosted in-character by Captain Regulus and the new character, Officer Liang Yue, who will appear in chibi form. Viewers can anticipate engaging content, including giveaways of codes and a thrilling competition offering a chance to win a Nintendo Switch 2.
While the Chinese audience has already had an extensive preview of version 2.5, the international community will finally get their first detailed look. 'Showdown in Chinatown' is set to pay homage to the iconic Hong Kong martial arts films, delivering a gripping crime thriller narrative centered around the pursuit of an arcanist vigilante.
Character-wise, Officer Liang Yue, a martial arts expert, will be infiltrating the movie set of another new character, Noire. Noire, a wheelchair-bound perfectionist director, uses her unique ability to puppeteer her ideal actors against foes. Additionally, Loggerhead, a character with a camera for a head, is also slated to appear.
While the exact content for international versions will be clarified during the livestream, fans can expect numerous nods to classics from the Shaw Brothers and John Woo in the 'Showdown in Chinatown' update.
