Ubisoft annonce l'arrêt du serveur XDefiant en juin 2025
Ubisoft a révélé des plans pour Sunset son jeu de tir gratuit, XDefiant, avec des serveurs ce qui cesse un opération le 3 juin 2025. . Des remboursements pour les achats éligibles sont en cours.

Les remboursements complets seront émis pour le pack des fondateurs ultimes. Les joueurs qui ont effectué des achats en jeu (VC et DLC) depuis le 3 novembre 2024 recevront également des remboursements complets. Le traitement peut prendre jusqu'à huit semaines, avec des remboursements attendus d'ici le 28 janvier 2025. Contactez l'assistance Ubisoft pour obtenir de l'aide après cette date. Notez que le pack standard du fondateur et l'élite du pack du fondateur ne sont pas éligibles aux remboursements.
Raisons de l'arrêt:
Les studios en chef d'Ubisoft et officier de portefeuille, Marie-Sophie Waubert, ont cité l'échec du jeu à atteindre les objectifs de rétention des joueurs sur le marché FPS gratuite très compétitif. Malgré une réponse positive initiale, XDefiant n'a pas pu maintenir un nombre suffisant de joueurs pour justifier un investissement supplémentaire.

Environ la moitié de l'équipe de développement XDefiant passera à d'autres rôles au sein d'Ubisoft. Cependant, les studios de San Francisco et d'Osaka fermeront, et le Sydney Studio réduira considérablement ses effectifs, entraînant des pertes d'emplois pour 143 employés à San Francisco et 134 à Osaka et Sydney combinés.
