Taiko-san Daijiro

This app lets you play ".tja" files from the PC game "Taiko-san Jiro 2" on your Android device. Because of the wide variety of Android devices, we can't guarantee compatibility on all models; we apologize for any inconvenience caused by devices that fail to launch. We also don't provide support for acquiring .tja files or skins.

Adding Songs:

Upon first launch, a "TJA" folder is created in your device's root storage or SD card. Place your .tja files inside genre folders within the "TJA" folder. If a genre.ini file is missing, the genre will default to "Uncategorized." High score saving may not function correctly on Android 4.4 and later versions. The app's settings now include a "record location" option to specify your preferred save location.

Adding Skins:

The app supports skins from "Taiko-san Jiro 2" (with some limitations). Skins from the original "Taiko-san Jiro" are incompatible. Refer to theme-default/default.csv for skin file information. Note that performance may vary depending on your device and the skin data used.

genre.ini Contents: This file is required to designate a folder as a genre:

• Android Security Update: Due to recent Android security updates, access is now restricted to app-specific folders. If you've updated the app, please manually move your "/TJA" folder to "Android/data/com.daijiro.taiko2/files/TJA" using a file manager.
