HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.
AppMagic data reveals Zenless Zone Zero's mobile revenue has already eclipsed $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new areas, and game modes, all stimulating increased player spending.
The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with a focused banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this revenue surge.
The 1.4 update demonstrated HoYoverse's ability to maintain player engagement beyond the typical post-update spending decline. Daily revenue remained above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and even after two weeks, surpassed $500,000 per day.
While a significant achievement, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still trails behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
