Unlocking Nightmare Crownless requires completing the "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" quest and an additional step.

1. Completing "Ruins Where Shadows Roam"

This isn't a standard quest; it's found within the Penitent's End region's Exploration Progress menu (accessed via the compass icon in the upper-left of your map).

2. Completing "Quest of Faith" (Optional but Recommended)

"Quest of Faith" is an optional quest tied to "Ruins Where Shadows Roam." It involves defeating four enemies in specific Penitent's End locations. Initiate this quest by interacting with the prompt near the circular arena beside the Resonance Beacon (located across the broken bridge in Wailing Ascent). This triggers a battle against a Questless Knight.

Defeating these knights requires luring them near lit Macabre Torches within the arena. Reignite extinguished torches by using Fae Ignis enemies. Avoid using powerful skills near the torches to prevent accidental extinguishment.
