WoW Unveils New Timewalking Event Schedule: Voyage Through Turbulent Timelines

World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Turbulent Timeways Returns!

World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering a whopping seven weeks of Timewalking campaigns, running until February 24th. This extended event provides ample opportunities to earn exciting rewards, amass Timewarped Badges, and benefit from a significant experience boost.

This isn't just a repeat of the previous Turbulent Timeways event (September 2023, five weeks). This time, the event is even more expansive. Players will journey through a different Timewalking expansion each week, starting with Mists of Pandaria on January 7th and culminating with Cataclysm the week of February 18th. The familiar Mastery of Timeways buff returns, granting a 20% experience increase after completing four Timewalking dungeons. Completing this for five out of the seven weeks unlocks the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement, rewarding players with the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount.

The Timewalking Schedule:

• January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
• January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
• January 21-27: Legion
• January 28-February 3: Classic
• February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
• February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
• February 18-24: Cataclysm

Beyond the mount, Timewalking vendors across all expansions boast new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Players who missed the Sandy Shalewing pet from the previous event will also have a chance to acquire it. Furthermore, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest yields Heroic-level gear during the Turbulent Timeways event.

This extended Timewalking period follows the recent 20th-anniversary event, resulting in a remarkable 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking activities!

The Turbulent Timeways event's conclusion date offers a significant clue regarding future World of Warcraft updates. With the event ending February 24th, and considering Blizzard's typical release cadence, February 25th is a strong contender for the launch of Patch 11.1, "Undermined." This aligns with a ten-week gap following Patch 11.0.7, suggesting a busy start to 2025 for World of Warcraft players, with the Turbulent Timeways, Plunderstorm's second run, and The War Within's first major content update all converging.
