World of Warcraft Patch 11.1: New Customizable Character Select Campgrounds

World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 introduces a fun new feature: collectible campsites for your character selection screen! Four new backgrounds are available at launch, with more promised in future updates. This expands on the Warbands system introduced in The War Within, allowing for personalized character selection screen customization.

Players can now choose from multiple campsites, each with a unique name and unlockable background image. These are accessible and managed via the Collections pane. The original "Adventurer's Rest" remains, but four new options join the roster:

The Collections pane now includes a dedicated tab for these campsites, allowing players to preview and track their progress. A new tab on the character selection screen itself lets you select your preferred campground, or even randomize between favorites for a fun surprise each login.

Blizzard's commitment to expanding character selection screen customization is clear. Future updates will likely add more campsites through various means, including new content, older zones, seasonal events, the Trading Post, and potentially even the in-game shop.
