Ubisoft Delays Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence
Rainbow Six Mobile and Tom Clancy's The Division Resurgence, much-anticipated mobile titles, have been delayed yet again. Originally slated for a 2024-2025 release, Ubisoft now plans to launch them after its FY25 fiscal year, meaning sometime in early 2025 at the earliest.
This delay, according to Ubisoft's business documents, is a strategic move to lessen competition within the already crowded tactical shooter market. The games are reportedly nearing completion, but Ubisoft aims for a stronger market position to ensure optimal launch performance. The delay likely means players won't see the games before April 2025.
The decision comes as other significant tactical shooters, such as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, are preparing for release. Ubisoft's strategy prioritizes strong initial KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in a highly competitive market.
While this news may disappoint fans eager to play these mobile versions of their favorite franchises, pre-registration is still available for both games. In the meantime, check out our lists of the best and most anticipated mobile games of 2024 for alternative options.
