Tom Clancy's The Division 2's sixth year kicks off with its third season, "Burden of Truth." This season plunges agents into a deeper narrative, following cryptic clues left by Kelso as they hunt her across Washington, D.C. Unraveling the mystery will shed light on Lau's recruitment methods and the secretive "Cassandra" mission.
A key addition is the Rogue Momentum system, revolutionizing combat. Aggression is rewarded; defeating enemies builds momentum. While standard kills provide a small boost, critical hits, skill combos, multi-kills, and eliminating elite foes significantly accelerate progress. This momentum unlocks enhanced abilities: faster movement, quicker reloads, increased damage, and faster firing speeds. Reaching peak momentum activates Overcharge, dramatically reducing ability cooldowns.
Beyond the enhanced combat, the season introduces new weapons and gear. Warlords of New York DLC and Year 1 Pass owners gain 50 extra inventory slots. Highlights include the exotic Oxpecker SMG and Exodus tactical gloves. Two new brands, Refactor and Shiny Monkey, offer innovative gear, alongside named weapons like the Rusty Classic RPK-74 and Goalie FAL, each boasting unique talents for customized builds. Available across all platforms, Ubisoft welcomes player feedback to shape future updates.
