This retro MySims remake might require a refresher, whether you're a newcomer or a returning player from the Wii or DS versions. Essences are crucial for crafting items to fulfill orders, so knowing their locations is key.
MySims features three Essence categories: Emotions, Living Things, and Objects. Each has a thematic element; collecting the right ones ensures you create items that please your Sims, aligning with their preferred moods. Most Essences function as both physical components and custom paint ingredients in Build Mode.
Your MySims Nintendo Switch adventure will introduce many Essences. Sims often request items needing specific Essences, making location knowledge essential.
Some Essences unlock with new areas or town level-ups, requiring time to collect them all.
The Crowbar tool (obtained via town level-ups) is needed for prospecting caves containing certain Essences.
