Assassin's Creed Shadows: Delayed Release and Price Adjustments

The cancellation of early access follows the delay of Assassin's Creed Shadows' official launch to February 14, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Ubisoft cited concerns regarding historical accuracy and cultural representation, along with the need for further polish, as reasons for the delay. Furthermore, the company has dropped the price of the Collector's Edition from $280 to $230, while also confirming the removal of planned season passes. Rumors persist of a potential co-op mode featuring the game's antagonists, Naoe and Yasuke, though this remains unconfirmed.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Team Dissolved

In a more surprising move, Ubisoft has disbanded the development team at Ubisoft Montpellier responsible for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Despite positive critical reception, the decision stems from the game failing to meet Ubisoft's sales expectations. While specific sales figures haven't been released, Ubisoft has acknowledged disappointment with the game's performance.

Abdelhak Elguess, the game's senior producer, expressed pride in the team's work and confirmed the completion of the post-launch content roadmap.
