Vaults are back in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2: Lawless, and cracking them open is tougher than ever. But don't worry, Epic Games has given us the perfect tool for the job: Thermite! Here's how to find and use it.

Navigating the new season's loot pool can be tricky, but thankfully Thermite is relatively easy to find. You can locate it as floor loot, inside chests, or purchase it using Bars at Black Markets and Outlaw Vending Machines (found in Crime City, Seaport City, Lonewolf Lair, and Masked Meadows). You can also find it in Go Bags.

Once you've got Thermite, you'll need to decide how to incorporate it into your loadout. But fear not, Thermite is surprisingly versatile.

How to Use Thermite

Its primary function is vault-busting. Simply place it against the vault's front and wait for the explosion. Targeting weaker points will speed things up. Be warned, though – other players will likely be drawn to the sound of the explosion, hoping to steal your hard-earned loot!

Alternatively, you can throw Thermite as a makeshift explosive. It has a short fuse, but once it detonates, it creates a fiery explosion, damaging nearby enemies. While not the most powerful explosive, it's a handy tool in a tight spot.
