Radiangames has exciting news for racing game enthusiasts with the announcement of Speed Demons 2, a side-scrolling highway racer that evokes the thrill and visual flair reminiscent of the iconic arcade racing series, Burnout. Originally a mobile game, the sequel is now in development for PC and is slated for release later this year.
In an innovative twist on traditional racing controls, Radiangames has stated, "The controls are focused on movement, not steering. You'll still have gas, brake, and turbo (or ability) buttons, but you move the analog stick (or mouse) up and down to control your vehicle's direction." The team assures that while this may sound unconventional, it becomes "immediately intuitive once you start playing."

Speed Demons 2 promises an adrenaline-pumping experience with ten diverse game modes. Fans of Burnout will feel right at home with modes like Pursuit, Takedown, and Rampage, which are reminiscent of Burnout's Road Rage. These modes challenge players to destroy other cars within a specified time limit. Additionally, the Scratchless mode offers a nod to Burnout's Burning Lap, pushing players to reach the finish line with minimal damage to their vehicles.
If this sounds like your kind of game, you can add Speed Demons 2 to your wishlist on Steam and keep an eye out for its release later this year.
