Sony has unveiled a stylish new Midnight Black Collection for the PlayStation 5, featuring four premium accessories: the DualSense Edge controller, PlayStation Portal handheld, Pulse Elite wireless headset, and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds. This dark, sophisticated color scheme complements the console's existing aesthetic.

The collection's pricing is as follows:

This announcement follows the excitement generated by CES 2025 and adds to the buzz surrounding potential PlayStation VR2 upgrades. The Midnight Black Collection offers a premium, dark aesthetic for popular PS5 peripherals. The DualSense Edge controller, in particular, boasts a modern design and includes a dedicated black carrying case.

While the original Midnight Black DualSense controller was released in 2021, this collection introduces the Edge controller in the same stylish hue. The higher price point of the Pulse Elite headset ($149.99) compared to its predecessor reflects the inclusion of a felt gray carrying case (shared with the earbuds). The Pulse Explore earbuds also command a premium price of $199.99.

Beyond this collection, Sony continues to expand its range of themed DualSense controllers, with recent releases including those for God of War and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. A limited-edition Helldivers 2 DualSense controller is also currently available for pre-order.
