The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event offers enticing rewards, but earning them requires tackling several challenges, one of which proves particularly tricky: repairing a broken object. This guide shows you how.
Week 2's challenge requires raising your Handiness skill to level 2 or higher—a relatively straightforward task. The real hurdle lies in locating a broken object. Since the game doesn't highlight broken items, the easiest solution is to break something yourself. While you can use the "prank" interaction, this requires a specific Sim trait, adding unnecessary complexity. A simpler method involves repeatedly using an item until it breaks.
The Ambassador toilet is an inexpensive option, making it more prone to breaking. Using it roughly a dozen times will cause it to malfunction, conveniently fulfilling the challenge's requirements. You can do this yourself or have other Sims use the toilet.
Once your Handiness skill reaches level 2, simply interact with the broken object and select "Repair." This will take a few seconds, fixing the toilet and completing the Blast from the Past challenge.
Repairing a broken object is one of several quests in Week 2 of the Blast from the Past event. Here's the complete list:
