Serial Cleaner, the crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Originally released in 2019, this title is returning, but the extent of its updates remains to be seen. Will it be a refined re-release or simply a modernized port?
The game throws you into the gritty, yet cartoonish, 1970s. As Bob Leaner, your job is to expertly erase evidence of mob violence – bodies, bloodstains, the works – all while dodging the police.
Our previous review (2019) described the original as promising but unfinished. Developer Plug-In Digital is now self-publishing this mobile revival, offering a chance to rectify past shortcomings.
A Second Chance?
Available for pre-registration with a February 11th, 2025 release date, the extent of the improvements is unclear. While a polished update would be welcome, given the time elapsed, significant changes might be unrealistic.
The core concept remains compelling, but a simple mobile re-release dampens some excitement. However, for Android users or those with iOS compatibility issues, this could be a pleasant surprise. For everyone else, check out our weekly top five new mobile games list!
