Old School RuneScape's latest chapter, Varlamore: The Rising Darkness, has arrived, bringing a chilling new adventure to the expanded northern regions. This update introduces a formidable foe and exciting new activities.

Confronting the Hueycoatl

Players will face Hueycoatl, a massive serpent residing in the perilous Hailstorm Mountains. Teaming up with unexpected allies—members of the Dwarven Party and a priest—is crucial to overcome this fearsome beast. Victory yields impressive rewards, including the Tome of Earth, the Dragon Hunter Wand (the first magic-infused dragonbane weapon), and the Hueycoatl Hide Armour.

Beyond the Mountains: Aldarin Island and More

The adventure extends beyond the icy peaks to Aldarin Island, a haven for Herblore enthusiasts. Here, players can cultivate, blend, and master alchemic creations using a variety of new herbs.

For a change of pace, the Colossal Wyrm Agility Course offers a unique challenge. Help the aged anteater, Worm Tongue, combat a termite infestation threatening the Colossal Wyrm's remains. This task rewards players with Agility XP and items such as the Varlamore Graceful Recolour and a skeleton transmog for their Squirrel pet.
