How To Rob Vaults and Cases Alongside the Fortnite Community

Fortnite players eager to continue the Outlaws Story Quests are facing a unique challenge: a Community Quest to obtain the Outlaw Keycard, a new game mechanic. This guide explains how to participate in community vault and case robberies.

The mid-season update for Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2, introduces the Outlaw Keycard challenge tab alongside the Outlaw Midas skin. While details are scarce, the keycard's rarity increases with quest completion, unlocking new Battle Royale areas and features. This has left players wondering how to proceed, especially since the next Story Quests are locked until this task is finished.

The process involves participating in Battle Royale matches and collectively robbing Fletcher Kane's vaults and cases. Similar to the Doctor Doom boss event, this requires community effort. However, unlike the relatively quick Doctor Doom event, this Community Quest appears more demanding.

Early attempts reveal that individual vault robberies don't significantly impact the overall progress bar. This means players can't solo the challenge and must wait for broader community participation.

Further suggesting a lengthy process, the next set of Fortnite Outlaw Quests isn't released until March 25th—a two-week delay. Fortnite developers anticipate the community quest may take up to a week to complete. While this might be frustrating for some, the currently available Golden Gunslinger Quests offer alternative gameplay until the Outlaw Quests resume.

This outlines how to contribute to the Fortnite community vault and case robberies. For more information, check out the rumored collaborations for the Lawless season.

Fortnite is available on various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
