A Record-Breaking Unboxing Livestream

On November 26th, 2024, The Pokémon Company achieved a new Guinness World Record for the longest unboxing livestream, celebrating the launch of the Scarlet & Violet - Surging Sparks expansion.

The event, streamed live on Pokémon's Twitch channel, featured prominent online personalities including Serebii's Joe Merrick, PokeGirl Ranch, and Mayplaystv. Over 24 hours, this trio opened over 1,500 booster packs and other Pokémon products, resulting in a staggering 20,000+ cards, as reported by the official Pokémon press release.

The celebration continues! The official press release promises further giveaways on the content creators' channels in the coming weeks. The cards collected will be organized and donated to charities, including Barnardo’s in the UK, before the holidays.

This expansion introduces Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, including the defensively powerful Archaludon ex.

Fans can also find iconic Dragon-type Pokémon like Palkia, Dialga, Eternatus, Alolan Exeggutor ex, and Tatsugiri ex. The expansion also boasts Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare cards featuring Alolan Dugtrio and Feebas, showcasing serene ocean scenes. New Tera Pokémon ex, such as Pallossand ex and Flygon ex, add excitement to players' decks.

The expansion is also available digitally via the Pokémon TCG Live app, where players can earn in-game rewards by collecting and battling with the new Stellar Tera Pokémon ex.
