Pokemon TCG Pocket's Blastoise Wonder Pick Event: Part Two Launches with New Cosmetics

The second phase of the popular Blastoise Wonder Pick event in Pokemon TCG Pocket is now live, bringing fresh cosmetic rewards for players. The in-game shop boasts a new lineup of Blastoise-themed goodies, including a stylish Blastoise icon, a collectible coin, themed card sleeves, and an eye-catching blue and Blastoise playmat.

This second phase runs until January 22nd, offering players a limited time to earn event tickets. However, the event shop itself remains open until January 28th, providing a grace period to spend accumulated tickets. Players are advised to log in regularly to maximize their chances of obtaining all the new items before the ticket distribution ends.

Following a busy holiday season filled with generous giveaways, the event pace has settled down, leaving many players focused on completing their Mythical Island booster pack collections and anticipating the next expansion pack rumored for late January. The confirmation that Pack Hourglasses will be usable in future expansions has prompted many to stockpile them.

The new Blastoise cosmetics provide a welcome incentive for daily logins. In addition to the cosmetic items, players can exchange surplus event tickets for Shinedust (50 Shinedust per ticket, up to 1000 Shinedust total).

Blastoise Wonder Pick Event: A Recap

The first part of the event, which began January 6th, introduced two new promo cards – Squirtle and Charmander – featuring unique artwork but identical attacks to their standard counterparts. These, along with a Blue and Blastoise backdrop and cover, remain available. New missions, rewarding Event Shop Tickets, were also added, focusing on Wonder Pick participation and collecting Fire and Water-type cards. Importantly, these missions are cumulative across both event parts. The Bonus Pick also offers additional Event Shop Tickets. Daily logins are strongly recommended to acquire all items, especially considering the rumored untradability of the event's promo cards.
