Pokémon GO's Shadow Raid Day: A Fiery Ho-Oh Returns

Get ready for a fiery showdown! Pokémon GO announces a Shadow Raid Day featuring the legendary Ho-Oh on January 19th, 2025, kicking off the year with a bang. This event offers trainers another opportunity to capture this powerful Fire-type Pokémon.

This marks the first Shadow Raid Day of 2025, building on the success of similar events introduced in 2023. Remember last year's exciting Shadow Raids featuring Moltres and Mewtwo? This time, it's Ho-Oh's turn to take center stage.

Event Details:

• Date: Sunday, January 19th, 2025
• Time: 2 PM to 5 PM local time
• Featured Pokémon: Shadow Ho-Oh (increased shiny encounter rate)
• Raid Passes: Up to 7 free Raid Passes from spinning Gyms (15 with a paid ticket)
• Special Move: Teach Shadow Ho-Oh the devastating Sacred Fire Charged Attack using a Charged TM.

Boost Your Raid Day with a Paid Ticket:

For a limited-time purchase of $5, a special event ticket will be available. This ticket increases the maximum number of Raid Passes obtainable from Gyms to 15, significantly boosting your chances of encountering and catching Shadow Ho-Oh. Additional benefits include a 50% XP bonus and 2x Stardust from raid battles, lasting until 10 PM local time on January 19th. A $4.99 Ultra Ticket Box will also be available, including an event ticket and a Premium Battle Pass.
