Pokemon Go's Madrid Fest Engages Love Birds

Pokémon Go Fest Madrid: A resounding success, both for players and for love! The event saw record attendance, but the real highlight? Five couples got engaged on camera, and all said "yes"!

Remember the initial craze of Pokémon Go, the thrill of chasing Pikachus through our neighborhoods? While its global dominance might have waned, the game still boasts millions of loyal players. These dedicated fans flocked to Pokémon Go Fest in Madrid, Spain (previously covered), exploring the city, hunting rare Pokémon, connecting with fellow players, and celebrating their shared passion. But for some, the event held a much more significant meaning.

Pokémon Go Fest Madrid became an unexpected backdrop for several romantic proposals. At least five couples captured their special moments on camera, all receiving resounding "Yes!" responses.

A Madrid Marriage Proposal "The timing was perfect," shared Martina, who proposed to Shaun at the event. "After 8 years together, 6 of them long-distance, we've finally settled in the same place. We just started living together, and this was the best way to celebrate our new life."

Held earlier this month, Pokémon Go Fest Madrid was a huge success, attracting over 190,000 attendees. While not on par with major sporting events, this is still a significant turnout.

Niantic's special proposal package suggests many more proposals likely occurred, even if they weren't publicly documented. Regardless, the event highlights the powerful role Pokémon Go has played in bringing couples together.
