A keen-eyed fan spotted what appears to be a new PS5 design, strikingly similar to leaked PS5 Pro images, subtly integrated into an image on Sony's official PlayStation blog. The image, part of the 30th-anniversary logo, has fueled speculation of an imminent PS5 Pro launch, possibly by month's end. While Sony hasn't officially announced a State of Play event, rumors persist that a major reveal is planned later this month.

Meanwhile, Sony is celebrating PlayStation's 30th anniversary with a range of exciting events. These include a free Gran Turismo 7 trial, digital soundtracks from classic PlayStation games, and the launch of the "Shapes of Play" collection in December 2024. The Shapes of Play collection will be available via direct.playstation.com in the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Benelux.

Additionally, a free online multiplayer weekend and esports tournaments are slated for September 21st and 22nd.
