Owlcat Games Expands into Game Publishing

Owlcat Games, renowned for its acclaimed cRPGs like Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, has announced a significant expansion into game publishing. This strategic move, following their acquisition of META Publishing in 2021, aims to support and promote narrative-driven games from other developers.

Owlcat's publishing initiative focuses on collaborating with studios that share their passion for compelling storytelling. The company will leverage its expertise to provide the resources and support necessary for these developers to realize their creative visions.

Owlcat's First Publishing Ventures

Owlcat has already partnered with two promising studios:

• Emotion Spark Studio (Serbia): Developing Rue Valley, a narrative RPG centered around a protagonist trapped in a time loop within a mysterious town. The game will explore themes of mental health and personal growth.

• Another Angle Games (Poland): Creating Shadow of the Road, an isometric RPG set in an alternate feudal Japan, blending samurai culture, honor, and tactical turn-based combat within a world of yokai and steampunk technology.

Both Rue Valley and Shadow of the Road are in early development, with further details expected soon. Owlcat plans to provide regular updates as these projects progress.
