SD Gundam G Generation Eternal isn't cancelled, despite the radio silence since 2022! An upcoming network test, opening up 1500 spots to US players, is on the horizon.
Applications are now open until December 7th, giving 1500 lucky participants a sneak peek from January 23rd to 28th, 2025. This marks the first opportunity for US fans to experience the latest strategy JRPG in the franchise.
For the uninitiated, the SD Gundam series puts you in the cockpit of countless Gundam pilots, commanding them in grid-based strategic battles. The sheer number of mecha and characters from across the entire Gundam universe is legendary.
While Gundam's global popularity is undeniable, the SD Gundam line might be less familiar to some. "Super Deformed" – smaller, stylized kits – these adorable, compact mecha models were once even more popular than the originals!
A US Debut
Gundam fans are sure to embrace the newest SD Gundam installment. However, Bandai Namco's track record with the series has been somewhat inconsistent, with some titles falling short or facing premature cancellation. Let's hope SD Gundam G Generation Eternal (quite the mouthful!) bucks this trend and delivers a high-quality experience.
In the meantime, for more strategic gaming, check out Cristina Mesesan's review of Total War: Empire – recently ported to iOS and Android – to see what this newcomer to the franchise thought of Feral's adaptation.
