Minecraft Movie Lego Sets Gives Insight Into Which Mobs Will Appear in the Jack Black Film

Lego is releasing a series of Minecraft Movie sets to coincide with the upcoming Jack Black-led live-action film. These sets offer a glimpse into the mobs and characters fans can expect to see on the big screen.

Two sets have been announced so far: the Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring and The Ghast Balloon Village Attack. These join the existing range of standard Minecraft Lego sets, but feature minifigures of Steve (Jack Black) and The Garbage Man (Jason Momoa).

The $49.99, 491-piece Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring depicts a gladiator-style battle. Momoa's character is shown fighting a zombie riding a giant chicken. The scale is unclear, but the chicken-zombie combination is notably taller than The Garbage Man. The set also includes Steve, Henry, a giant zombie pigman, a treasure chest, and a small viewing stand with weapons.

The $69.99, 555-piece Ghast Balloon Village Attack set features the Nether's Ghast in a large-scale battle within a regular overworld village. This set includes one villager, two piglins, Steve, Natalie, Dawn, and an iron golem.

Both sets will be available on March 1st, a month before A Minecraft Movie premieres in theaters on April 4th.

The film's September reveal sparked criticism from fans due to the perceived disparity between the live-action characters and the CGI-animated world. However, the director and producer, speaking to IGN in November, acknowledged this reaction and stated they were prepared for it.
