Tencent's Polaris Quest Unveils Ambitious Open-World RPG, Light of Motiram, for Mobile

Today brings exciting news for gamers! Not only has Project Mugen's title been revealed, but Tencent's Polaris Quest has announced its upcoming open-world RPG, Light of Motiram, is slated for mobile release.

Initially revealed via Chinese social media (via Gematsu), Light of Motiram will launch on Epic Games Store, Steam, PlayStation 5, and apparently, mobile devices. This is a bold move considering the game's impressive visuals and extensive feature set.

What exactly is Light of Motiram? It's a genre-bending experience. Described as an open-world RPG, it incorporates elements reminiscent of various titles. The base-building mechanics evoke Rust, while the giant, customizable mechanical creatures bring to mind Horizon Zero Dawn and even Palworld. The game also features survival elements and co-op/crossplay functionality.

The sheer breadth of features is both surprising and impressive, though it raises questions about the feasibility of a mobile port with such high visual fidelity and complex systems. However, a mobile beta is reportedly in development.
