Konami Unveils Suikoden STAR LEAP for Mobile

Inspired by the ancient Chinese novel Water Margin, the series is known as Suikoden in Japan. Over the years, the series has expanded to include 11 titles, with the most recent release in 2012. The storyline centers around the Rune of Change, one of the 27 True Runes that have shaped the world. The protagonist, Hou, the son of a village chief, embarks on his journey after his first successful hunt is interrupted by a devastating attack on his village. Accompanied by Hisui, a servant with mysterious emotional suppression, Shirin, a childhood friend driven by justice, and Shapur, a former general now serving as a butler, Hou sets out to restore peace.

While the announcement has sparked excitement, not all fans are convinced. Many have been eagerly awaiting a true continuation of the series, and the introduction of Suikoden STAR LEAP as a gacha game has stirred some mixed feelings within the community.
