Jurassic World Dominion includes a scene directly from Michael Crichton's original Jurassic Park novel, a detail confirmed by screenwriter David Koepp. In an interview with Variety, Koepp explained that, lacking a source novel for Dominion, he revisited Crichton's work for inspiration. This rereading led to the inclusion of a sequence originally conceived for the 1993 film adaptation but ultimately cut for time. Koepp stated, "There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for. We were like, ‘Hey, we get to use that now.’" While Koepp remains tight-lipped about the specific scene, fan speculation is rife.
