Even with their upcoming Berlin cafe launch (yes, it's happening), MiHoYo continues to deliver impressive updates for their popular games. Version 3.4 of Honkai: Star Rail launches on July 2nd, featuring a crossover with one of anime's most beloved franchises.
Kicking off Version 3.4's "For the Sun is set to Die" storyline, players can recruit the new character Phainon. Longtime followers will appreciate his addition to the playable roster, given his pivotal role in recent Trailblazer narratives.
Phainon brings strategic depth to combat through his Coreflames mechanic. By accumulating this consumable resource, he triggers his Ultimate ability to transform and establish a Territory. This unique state removes other characters while retaining their buffs, allowing Phainon to confront enemies in his enhanced form.
Recruit and strategizeWhile existing players have ample content to explore, the collaboration event beginning July 11th introduces Fate/Stay Night's iconic Saber and Archer as playable characters.
Through this multimedia crossover, all players can claim the five-star Archer character simply by logging in during the event period. This provides value even for those unfamiliar with the Fate series.
