Catching Nickit in the Wild in Pokemon GO

The primary method to acquire Nickit is by encountering it in the wild. During the Deep Depths event, this Dark-type Pokemon will appear as an uncommon spawn. Stay alert and monitor your Nearby Radar (bottom right of your screen) to spot wild Nickit appearances.

Hatching Nickit From an Egg in Pokemon GO

Throughout the Deep Depths event, Nickit may hatch from 7 km eggs. For added convenience, the hatch distance for incubated eggs is reduced by 50% during the event period.

Getting Nickit From Field Research in Pokemon GO

Event-specific Field Research tasks will reward Nickit encounters for defeating two Team GO Rocket Grunts. Alternatively, trainers can purchase the $1.99 Deep Depths Premium Timed Research Ticket, which guarantees two Nickit encounters - one after beating a Grunt and another upon completing all ticket tasks.

How To Get Thievul in Pokemon GO

As with most evolved Pokemon, Thievul cannot be found in the wild. You'll need to evolve Nickit using 50 Nickit Candy. Use Pinap Berries when catching Nickit to double your candy gains. Enable Pokedex notifications to be alerted when Nickit spawns nearby.

How Long Is the Deep Depths Event in Pokemon GO?

The Deep Depths event runs from March 19 through March 24, 2025, concluding at 8:00 PM local time. Take advantage of the weekend to explore populated areas and use Incense to maximize your Nickit encounters before evolving them into Thievul.
