After over two years, Grand Theft Auto V on PC is finally getting a major update, bringing it largely in line with the console versions. Mark your calendars: March 4th is the day! This update incorporates features from the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions released in 2022, and best of all, it's a free upgrade for all current players. Your progress in both GTA Online and Story Mode will seamlessly transfer—no extra steps required.
The biggest changes are in GTA Online, where a wealth of previously unavailable content for PC players is now being added. Plus, the GTA+ subscription service is coming to PC, offering benefits like significantly faster business profit collection. Rockstar Games has also boosted anti-cheat measures for a fairer gaming experience.

Expect significant graphical improvements with this update, but be aware that the increased visual fidelity comes with higher system requirements. Players with less powerful hardware can continue playing the older version; Rockstar will continue supporting it. However, cross-version play won't be supported, meaning players on different versions of the game won't be able to play together.
