Shuyu's Baffling Beetle Battle Bowl is a limited-time event in Genshin Impact Version 5.3, challenging players to beetle combat. This guide simplifies the five battles.

Event Requirements:

• Adventure Rank 20 or higher.
• Completion of the Mondstadt Archon Quest Prologue. Completing Xianyun's Story Quest "Grus Serena Chapter" adds context.

Gameplay:

The event uses Onikabuto beetles in simulated battles within a Teapot at Mt. Aocang against various enemies. Controls are simple: Forward, Backward, and Jump. Stamina management is key, as movement and attacks consume it. Piercing Strikes (holding the attack button) inflict greater damage.

Enemy Strategies:

The five stages present unique challenges:

1. Staff Master (Basic Hilichurl): Repeated head attacks are effective. Dodge ground markings indicating attacks.
2. Torch-Wielding Berserker (Hilichurl Berserker with Pyro Slime): Target the head; the Pyro Slime is also a weak point, particularly when preparing to throw it.
3. Pyro Abyss Mage: Interrupt its spellcasting, then attack repeatedly. Dodge fireballs and flame pillars.
4. Cryo Abyss Mage: Employ the same strategy as the Pyro Abyss Mage.
5. Stonehide Lawachurl: Rapid attacks are necessary. A Geo Slime will appear; use a Piercing Strike for maximum damage.

Difficulty and Rewards:

Choose "Focused Fight" (two-star difficulty) for optimal Primogem rewards (30-20 per stage). "Utmost Might" (three-star) offers Mora and Enhancement Ores but no Primogems. Consult the "Dossier on Opponent" for enemy information. Co-op mode allows teamwork.

Total Primogem rewards on Utmost Might difficulty reach 420. Other rewards include Hero's Wit, Sanctifying Unction, Mora, and Mystic Enhancement Ore. The event concludes January 13, 2025, at 03:59 server time.
