Genshin Impact Officially Reveals Yumemizuki Mizuki for Version 5.4

Summary

  • Yumemizuki Mizuki, a new 5-Star Anemo character from Inazuma, arrives in Genshin Impact Version 5.4.
  • Mizuki plays a similar support role to Sucrose, but with added healing capabilities.
  • Version 5.4 will be a smaller update, featuring only one new character, one Story Quest, and a reduced Primogem reward pool.

Genshin Impact introduces Yumemizuki Mizuki, a 5-Star Anemo character from Inazuma, debuting in Version 5.4. Following Version 5.3's conclusion of the Natlan storyline, this update offers a smaller Inazuma-focused adventure. The Flagship Event, centered in Inazuma, will prominently feature yokai and Yae Miko.

Mizuki's arrival has been heavily speculated since late 2024, with leaks suggesting she'd be Inazuma's first Standard Banner character. Version 5.4 beta confirmed this, revealing her kit and role. As a 5-Star Anemo Catalyst, she's essentially a premium Sucrose with healing, making her a valuable addition to many Taser teams.

Mizuki's official reveal on the Genshin Impact Twitter account, slightly later than anticipated, further highlights the unpredictable drip marketing strategy since Version 5.3. While previously known as a tapir yokai, the marketing unveiled her as a psychologist and majority owner of the Aisa Bathhouse, an old friend of Yae Miko. Her introduction is highly likely to coincide with the Flagship Event, and a dedicated Story Quest is also planned for Version 5.4.

Genshin Impact: Yumemizuki Mizuki

  • Title: Embrace of Enchanting Dreams
  • Rarity: 5-Star
  • Vision: Anemo
  • Weapon: Catalyst
  • Constellation: Tapirus Somniator

Version 5.4's Event Banners are expected to feature Mizuki and Wriothesley in the first half, followed by Furina and Sigewinne in the second. Note that Mizuki will join the Standard Banner after Version 5.4, so collection-focused players should prioritize obtaining her Signature Weapon.

While Version 5.3 is content-rich, Version 5.4 is considerably smaller, including only one new character, one Story Quest, no new Artifact Domain, and no map expansion. Consequently, Primogem rewards will be lower than average. Players should consider saving their Lantern Rite rewards for Version 5.4, especially if they aim to acquire characters like Furina or Wriothesley from Fontaine.
