Team Cherry's highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong will be absent from Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, according to Geoff Keighley, the event's producer. This news has understandably disappointed many fans.
Silksong's Absence Confirmed
The Hollow Knight community's hopes were initially raised when Keighley's initial Gamescom ONL lineup included a "+ More" section, hinting at unannounced games. This fueled speculation about a Silksong reveal, especially given the game's prolonged silence. However, Keighley later confirmed on Twitter (X) that Silksong would not be featured at the event. While this is disappointing, he reassured fans that Team Cherry continues to actively develop the game.
Despite the lack of Silksong news, the Gamescom ONL still boasts an impressive lineup, featuring titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, Civilization 7, MARVEL Rivals, and more.
