Flappy Bird is making a triumphant return! Over a decade after its initial release, this iconic game is set for an expanded comeback in Fall 2024. Missed your chance to master the frantic flapping? You'll have another opportunity across multiple platforms, with initial releases planned for Q3 2024, followed by Android and iOS launches in 2025.
The Flappy Bird Foundation—yes, there's actually a foundation dedicated to the game—holds the official trademark and rights to the original character. This dedicated group of fans even secured the rights to Piou Piou vs. Cactus, the mobile game that inspired Flappy Bird, showcasing their commitment to the game's legacy.
The relaunch promises new game modes, fresh characters, and exciting multiplayer challenges. While the core gameplay remains the same—that addictive, frustratingly simple formula—expect bigger challenges, new progression systems, and a revamped overall experience.

Simple, frustrating, and undeniably addictive, the original Flappy Bird captivated casual and hardcore gamers alike. Its sudden removal from app stores in February 2014 left a void filled by numerous clones, none quite capturing the magic of the original. Now, players worldwide will have the chance to once again navigate those infamous green pipes.
Official platform pages are yet to launch, so follow the Flappy Bird Foundation's official X (formerly Twitter) account for the latest updates.
