For Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the PS5, Square Enix has alluded to visual enhancements

The PC version of the game boasts significantly improved visuals and stability compared to its PS5 counterpart, sparking considerable community discussion regarding the need for a PS5 update. Currently, the PS5 version suffers from blurry visuals in performance mode, leaving base console owners with only the option of waiting for future patches. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi acknowledges the possibility of improvements, stating, “After releasing the PC version promo, we received many requests for a similar PS5 update, and we aim to address this within the technical limitations of the platform.”

Players eagerly anticipate Square Enix responding to these fan requests and enhancing the console visuals. While the team is actively developing the sequel, Hamaguchi asks for patience, promising further details at a later date. He highlights 2024 as a successful year for Final Fantasy Rebirth, the second game in the trilogy, noting its global recognition and numerous awards. The third installment presents unique challenges as the developers strive to expand the game's fanbase. Interestingly, Hamaguchi also expressed interest in Grand Theft Auto VI, offering support to the Rockstar Games team and acknowledging the immense pressure they face following the phenomenal success of GTA V.
