Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Reveals Full PC Requirements

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K

Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Two weeks ahead of the PC launch, the updated requirements emphasize a high-end graphics card with 12-16GB VRAM as recommended for 4K gameplay.

The game will leverage DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6, and DirectX 12 Ultimate. This PC port arrives almost a year after the PS5 release, following a PS5 Pro enhancement patch. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any DLC at launch; Square Enix is focused on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.

While initial PC specs were revealed at The Game Awards, Square Enix clarified the graphics card recommendations. A minimum of 12-16GB VRAM is now explicitly stated for 4K resolution. Other minimum requirements remain consistent: 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, 155GB SSD storage, and 16GB RAM. A Ryzen 5 5600 or equivalent CPU is recommended, along with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or better (supporting Shader Model 6.6 and DirectX 12 Ultimate).
