A chapter in the history of Kingdom Come: Deliverance has closed. After years of lending their voices and souls to the beloved RPG, Tom McKay and Luke Dale have bid farewell to Warhorse Studios. Their departure was a poignant moment—a blend of gratitude, nostalgia, and a sense of closure.
However, even as they recorded their final lines, the studio was already auditioning replacements for Henry and Hans. The irony was palpable—a farewell for one generation heralded the arrival of another.
McKay, the voice of Henry, reflected on the unique bond forged during the project:
“In the creative world, ‘family’ is often a cliché. But here, it was real. The connections I made are among the deepest and most enduring of my career.”
This sense of family resonated both personally and within the game's narrative. Henry's tragic loss mirrored McKay's own experience of losing his father, imbuing certain scenes with profound emotional weight. For McKay, Kingdom Come: Deliverance transcended a mere project; it became a deeply personal journey.
