FIFA Partners with Konami

Konami and FIFA's esports collaboration: a surprising partnership! The long-standing rivalry between FIFA and PES is set aside as FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024 will be held on Konami's eFootball platform. This unexpected alliance follows EA's split with FIFA in 2022 over licensing fees.

eFootball In-Game Qualifiers Now Live!

The tournament features Console (PS4 & PS5) and Mobile divisions. Eighteen countries are competing in the final rounds: Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, England, France, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey.

In-game qualifiers run from October 10th to 20th (three rounds). National Nomination Phases follow from October 28th to November 3rd. The offline final round will take place late 2024; the exact date is yet to be announced. Even if your country isn't participating, you can still compete in the qualifiers until Round 3 and earn rewards (50 eFootball coins, 30,000 XP, and more).

The FIFA x Konami eFootball Partnership: A Twist of Fate

This unexpected collaboration follows EA's departure from FIFA in 2022, after a disagreement over licensing fees. FIFA's demand of $1 billion every four years proved too high for EA, leading to the release of EA Sports FC 24 without the FIFA branding. This FIFAe World Cup 2024 marks a significant shift in the gaming landscape.
