by Nathan Jan 23,2025

Unravel the mystery of your father's disappearance in the upcoming point-and-click adventure game, My Father Lied, launching May 30th!

Ahmed Alameen, writer and filmmaker, presents his debut title: a narrative-driven puzzle adventure steeped in Mesopotamian history. Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman whose quest to uncover the truth behind her father's twenty-year-old disappearance is reignited by the revelation of a previously unknown sibling.

Alameen, initially collaborating on the project, took the reins as sole developer, mastering game design to bring his vision to life. Gameplay involves classic point-and-click mechanics, challenging you to piece together images, decipher codes, and explore captivating environments. Drawing inspiration from Myst, Heaven's Vault, and the chilling works of H.P. Lovecraft, My Father Lied offers a unique blend of mystery and intrigue.

The game's striking visuals, a combination of 2D and 360-degree images, even in the hand-crafted cutscenes, are optimized for performance on less powerful PCs.

My Father Lied will be available on May 30th for $10.99/€ on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam. Add it to your Steam Wishlist now! Mobile pre-registration is not yet available. Follow Lunar Games on X, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram for updates, and watch for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign.
