by Daniel Dec 18,2024

Dredge's mobile release delayed to February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open!

Fans eagerly awaiting the mobile port of Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, will need to wait a bit longer. The release has been pushed back to February 2025. However, the delay is accompanied by good news: registration is now open for a new closed beta test.

In Dredge, players take on the role of a fisherman in the eerie town of Greater Marrow. While initially focused on the simple task of fishing and selling to locals, players will soon encounter strange sea creatures, mysterious beings, and unsettling events on a nearby island, all while battling the creeping threat of madness.

Sign up for the closed mobile beta via this Google Form. Despite the delay, the numerous awards and critical acclaim Dredge has received confirm it's a game worth the wait, especially for those who haven't experienced it yet.

A Mobile Port's Challenges

Having played the PC version, the delay is understandable. Adapting such a large and detailed world to mobile is a significant undertaking. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback and ensuring a polished mobile experience.
